Obituary of Vera Pemberton

Vera Jean Pemberton was called to be with the Lord December 29, 2010. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Spreckels. She loved being an active member of Echoes of Calvary Church in Salinas, praying for those in need and sharing the word of god with friends and family. She enjoyed shopping, socializing and traveling with her friends whom she loved so much. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother and was always the strength we all needed in any time of trouble or sorrow. She was always there to lend advice or a prayer or make your favorite meal at any time of the day or night. Words can not express the void that has been created by her absence. She is survived by Daughters Sheila Simpson of Salinas Keri Dunn of Visalia Son Ronnie Simpson of King City Grandchildren Becky Simpson Kendra Babb Krista Dunn Great-Grandchildren Joshua and Joseph White Kylie Stinebaugh Wyatt and Garrett Babb Brother Eddie Sims of Oregon Sisters Vernice Wayne of Nevada Odelene Sims of Paso Robles along with other loving relatives Preceded in death by First Husband Joseph Simpson Second Husband Oscar Pemberton Son Lonnie Simpson Brother Norman Dean Sims Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 2 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Road. Funeral Services on Monday, Jan. 3 1pm at Echoes from Calvary Church 1025 Post Drive in Salinas. Final Resting Place at Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
