Obituary of Joe Fanning

J.D. Fanning, 76, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away January 22, 2011 in Salinas. He was born March 12, 1934 in Oklahoma City, OK. J.D. was an avid Horseman and Team Roper and was a member of the A.C.T.R.A., American Cowboy Team Roping Association, and of the Teamster Union #890 AFLCIO. Above all, Joe was a great Husband, Father, Grandfather, and will be missed by his loving Famiy and Friends. He is survived by his Companion Donna Fanning, Daughters Regena Rathbun-Fabiani, and Deanna Sievers, Sons Marc Fanning, Justin and Kevin Wilkinson, Sister Shirley Meacham, numerous Grandchildren, and numerous Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Wife Bobbie Jo Fanning, Brother David Fanning, and his parents Omar and Iva Fanning. A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26 11am at the Prunedale Grange Hall 17890 Moro Road Prunedale, CA 93907.
