Obituary of Aldine Espinosa

Aldine June Silva Espinosa, 89, lifelong resident of Salinas, passed peacefully on March 11, 2011. She was born January 14, 1922. Throughout her life, Aldine enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to go fishing and clamming as well as dancing and working in her garden. She also loved her animals and enjoyed creating specialty cakes for her family and friends. Aldine was an active member of the Moose and Pocahontas Lodge. She was also a retired employee of Cel-A-Pak Produce Company. Aldine is survived by her sister Madeline Hogan, her daughters Gerry (Steve) Bennett, Gloria Hooks, Patty (Gary) Dahl and her son Billy Silva. She is also survived by grandchildren Terri Surber, Cheri (Doug) Carlson, Michael Surber, Joanna Hooks, Susie (Chris) Lizaola, Wendi (Rick) Salimoni, Misty (Stevie) Guidotti, Dawn (Ed) Clark, Debbie (James) Young, Gary (Lynette) Dahl, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by brothers Lawrence, Manuel, Jess, George and Edward Silva. A special thank you to Pacific Coast Care and Hospice for the loving care of our Mother. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16 1-9 PM at Healey Mortuary. 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services on Thursday, March 17 10AM at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Final Resting Place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
