Obituary of James Sanchez

James C. Sanchez, Jr. was lifted into the arms of his Lord on Monday, March14, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. James was a past employee of Children's Services International and the Salvation Army. After a year of hard work, he earned his certification with honors in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in 1986. Family was priority to James, they came before anything, even himself, especially when he was ill. His first concern was that all his family members were "ok". He didn't want them to hurt, so he kept alot of his aches and pains to himself. He made the decision to come home and and be with family, during the final hours of his life. James enjoyed all his grand nieces and nephews but he was especially proud of his son, Jim, for his great accomplishments. Matthew and Ryan were the "Apples of his Eyes". James and his father, James, Sr. could be seen riding around town in the brown pick-up truck, whether it was to get their monthly hair cut , driving through China Town, or window (isle) shopping at Home Depot. James is survived by his wife and "Soul Mate" of forty-one years, Mary, his Father, James, Sr., his Son Jim III, two Grandsons, Matthew and Ryan, Sisters, Betty (Manuel ) Chacon, and Irene Hernandez of Salinas, his Brothers, Henry Cortez, Roy and Frank Sanchez of Salinas. He also leaves behind many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, Great-Nieces and Nephews, Great-great Nieces and Nephews, and his phone buddy Tavo. James has been greeted at the beginning of his new journey by his Mother, Bellia, Sisters Evelyn and Dora, Brothers, Raymond, Charlie and William "Weto", and his Nephew, Frankie.James was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2011 1-9pm with Rosary recital 7pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Mass on Friday, March 18, 2011 1pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 22 Stone St. Salinas, CA 93901. Final Resting Place at Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
