Obituary of Marcella McKearn

Marcella Lee McKearn (Brooks) was born in Chilocothe, Ohio to William and Arizona May Brooks. The family then moved to Michigan and that is where Marcella grew up as 1 of 7 siblings; 6 girls and 1 boy. Marcella loved music and loved to dance. She especially like Classic Rock and Country music. She enjoyed keeping her home in Corralitos neat and freshly painted, cooking meals and baking for her family. She loved animals and always had a cat and or dog. She liked to go to the Rodeo. Her favorite event was bull riding. Marcella was widowed in 1979. Her husband, Joseph W. McKearn, whom she loved very much, passed away from complications from surgery. Marcella passed away peacefully at home with her daughter, Marcie and her good friend, Julie Campbell. Marcella leaves behind 3 children; Stephen N. Rettke of Eagle River, AK, Herbert G. Rettke of CA and Marcie J. McKearn of Moss Landing, CA; grandchildren, Shani Hawley, Erin Rettke, Justin Rettke, Polly Schwarz and Casey Rettke; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was a wonderful, kind and loving mother, and a great friend. She will be missed more than words can say. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 3pm at the family residence.
