Obituary of Warren Paulson

Warren C. Paulson, adored Dad & Papa, passed peacefully into eternal life at his beloved home on July 14, . His was a brief illness of cerebrovascular disease. He was 89 years old. Warren was born December 4,1921 in Alberta Canada. He lived in San Benancio Cyn for almost 60 yrs and often referred to it as "God's country"! Dad was fiercely independent, non complaining and never was a burden to his family. Warren graduated from Salinas High School 1938. He served in the US Army Corp of Engineers during WW II, seeing action in the Battle of the Bulge. His career as a local car dealer spanned over 65 yrs. He was a member of the Elks and Corral de Tierra Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf twice a week until last November. Warren has been reunited with his deeply missed wife, Betty, who preceeded him in passing in 1989. He was also preceeded by his grandson, Ryan Pollock, in 1979, his parents, Guy & Lillian Paulson, his brothers, Gordon and Leo and sister, Edna. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Miller of Salinas and Pamela (Lou) Tuosto of Aptos; grandchildren, Erin (Michael) Hooper of Seattle, WA, Troy (Jennifer) Miller of Carmel Valley & Amy Rubio of Aptos. Warren also has 4 great grandchildren, Christian & Dylan Rubio, Kate & Lauren Miller, and one surviving sister, Ethyl Morehead of Oregon. Please think of Warren whenever you share a corny joke, save a dime, enjoy a round of golf, lament the current political goings on, curse the critters that plot to share your space, decorate for Christmas....excessively, take pleasure in your home & blessings. Warren cherished his family and we will ever carry his gentle heart with us. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia Society, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Heartland Hospice or donor's favorite charity. We would like to thank all his many caregivers, especially Dr. James Dacus and Shaneka Wynne.
