Obituary of Guadalupe Villegas

Guadalupe "Lupe" Felix Villegas, 69, of Gonzales, passed away at home peacefully with family by his side on October 5, 2011. He was born on December 9, 1941 in Mexicali, B.C. Lupe was and avid Giant's fan and he enjoyed watching NASCAR races on T.V. and also gardening for relaxation. His family gatherings were the highlights of his life and his trips to Las Vegas. He especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sports events. He had a big heart, and was loved by many and will missed by all. A special "thanks" to the staff at Satellite Dialysis Center in Gilroy. He is survived by his former wife, Cecilia Villegas of Gonzales daughters, Priscilla (Robert) Ruiz of Salinas Cecilia (Robert) Rodriguez of Gonzales Rachelle (David)Blains of Salinas Anna (Benjie) Abad of Las Vegas Rosemary Hernandez of Salinas sons, Guadalupe, Jr. (Sonia) Villegas of Salinas Mario (Chris) Villegas of Las Vegas Derrick (Armida) Perez of Salinas Mark Perez of Gonzales Dominic (Veronica) Perez of Roseville 30 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren sisters, Reyna (Carl) Losoya of Soledad Felipa (Fil) Sanchez of Salinas along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives He is preceded in death by both parents, Jacinto and Secundina Villegas and 3 brothers Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 1-9pm with a Rosary Recital at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 10am at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906. Burial to to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.
