Obituary of Nancy Helwig

Nancy Nell Helwig, 79, passed away on November 16, 2011 in Salinas. She was born on July 4, 1932 in Montgomery, Alabama and had relocated to California at the age of 16. Nancy was a cheerleader at Pacific Grove High School, where she attended and was a graduate, Class of 1952. Nancy was an avid S.F. Giants and S.F. 49'ers fan. She was a "Rebel Yell" cheerleader of her beloved Crimson Tide Football team of Alabama. She enjoyed playing Bunco nights with her friends and attending her monthly Secret Pal Luncheons. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Helwig of Salinas daughters, Debbie Melicia of North Carolina Vickie Wilson of Salinas son, Dave Helwig of Salinas six grandchildren one great-granddaughter one sister, numerous nieces, nephews along with other loving relatives At the family's request, no services were held. Cremation has taken place.
