Obituary of Augusto Velasco
Augusto Albano Velasco, 77, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away on March 26, 2012 in Salinas. He was born on December 20, 1934 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
Augusto was a member of the Madonna del Sasso and Sacred Heart Parishes, as well as Couples for Christ, and was an officer of Bisayan U.S.A. Santo Nino Organization. He was an officer of the Special Forces of the Philippine Army, where her served two tours of duty in Vietnam.
He is survived by
his wife of 50 years,

along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by
his parents, Justo and Caridad Velasco
brothers,
Marcial, Oscar and Tito Velasco
sister, Paquita Velasco.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 1-9pm with a Rosary Recital 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2012 9am at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906.
Burial to follow services at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.
