Obituary of Margarita Torres

Margarita "Maggie" Torres, 64, of Salinas, passed away on April 27, 2012, after she fought a couragious battle with cancer, in Salinas. She was born on August 31, 1947 in Watsonville, California. Maggie loved her family very much, and especically loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very fond of her pets. For the past 30 years, Maggie was a faithful member of the Alano Club of Salinas. She loved helping anyone in need and always believed the best in them. She had a heart for the "underdogs". Maggie will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but never forgotten. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Torres of Salinas 7 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren sisters, Connie Tapia Dolores Viniegra Rosemary Sanchez brother, Jesus Aboytes along with other loving relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Cortez Aboytes and Mary Reyes Aboytes daughter, Lupe Iniques sister, Adalina Lopez Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 1-9pm with a Rosary recital 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Graveside Services will take place at the Valley Public Cemetery 2445 E. Lake Ave. Watsonville, CA 95076.
