Obituary of Mary Denney

Mary was born on April 18, 1921 in Missouri. She lived on King Street in Salinas from 1947 to 2004. She passed away on April 13, 2009 in Nampa, Idaho. As her three children were growing up, Mary had been involved with the Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts, Blue Birds, Camp Fire Girls, and Horizon Girls. She had been a member of IOOF in her early years and was a lifetime member of Reveille Chapter #47, Eastern Star-Salinas & White Shrine, San Jose, and Rainbow Girls of Salinas. Mary had a passion for the outdoors; she loved gardening, taking long drives to see all of the different flowers in bloom. She loved Salinas for all it's seasons. She is survived by three children Harold C. and Barbara of Homedale, Idaho Gerald C. " Cliff" Denney of Camas Valley, Oregon Loretta J. "LJ" Denney of Camas Valley, Oregon three grandchildren Donna C. and Garry Jesmer of Cottonwood Mark D. and Debbie Denney of Merced Eugene "Gene" E. Anderson of CA four great-grandchildren Garrison O. and Kendal P. Jesmer of Cottonwood Ashton E. and Travis D. Denney of Merced along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, too many to list preceded in death by husband of 45 years, Travis C. Denney brother Manuel G. Howard of Missouri sisters Althea Howard of Missouri Bertha Thompson of Missouri Leota of San Jose Evelyn Nelson of St. Charles, Missouri Thelms Cloer of Junction City, Oregon GRAVESIDE SERVICES where she will join her late husband, Travis on Monday, April 20, 2009 2PM at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907, officiated by Reveille Chapter #47 of the Eastern Star. A reception will follow services at the Salinas Masonic Hall 48 E. San Joaquin Street 93902. In lieu of flowers, the family requests in Mary's memory, donations may be made to one's favorite charity, or to the Salinas Eastern Star or Masonic Lodge. Both lodges have been so gracious in helping us at this time of our grievance.
