Obituary of Opal Jewel Fleming

Opal Jewel Fleming, 72 native and lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on June 24, 2018 in Salinas. She was born on September 3, 1945.Opal previously worked at NMC in Medical Records and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Opal will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend with her loving kind heart, feisty spirit, loyalty and devotion to her family and friends along with her great sense of humor.

Opal is survived by 2 children; sons, William(Bill) Taylor, Jr. ,his wife, Michele  and Everett (J J)Jones, 3 stepchildren; daughters Cindy & Leigh Ann and son Charles Fleming Jr., 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buddy” Fleming.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 2, 2018 1-9p.m. at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, CA 93905.

Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.

Burial to follow at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
