Obituary of Rhonda Kay Ramos

Rhonda Kay Ramos, 55, lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on August 27, 2018. 

Rhonda was born October 14, 1962 in Bozeman, Montana. She lived most of her life in Salinas, attending local schools and graduating from North Salinas High School in 1980; where she pitched for the girls varsity softball team.. Rhonda's sense of adventure led her to become a certified travel consultant and agent. She spent 30 years in the travel business and was the owner of Royal Globe Travel for the last 10 years. Her clients relied on her knowledge and skills to prepare itineries for both business and leisure travel.

Rhonda enjoyed the outdoors and annual camping vacations with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and having barbeques. She and her husband liked outdoor music festivals, concerts, dancing and going to arts and craft fairs.

Rhonda was well-known for her gift giving with a "Rhonda Bag". All items in the gift bag had a story and were lovingly chosen by her. Through school business and travel; Rhonda made many friends and several of those friendships have been lifelong. Her generous heart and fun-loving personality will be missed forever. 

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Mark, her son, Sean and his wife, Rita, her daughter, Brianne and partner, Clint. She also leaves behind her parents, Gary and Tab Gunderson and many loving aunt, uncles and cousins from California, Montana and Australia. 

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rod and Vaughn and her sister, Valerie.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 1pm at the Healey Mortuary Chapel 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA  93905.
