Obituary of Doris Jean Blankenship

Doris Jean Blakenship, 83, lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on January 26, 2019 in Salinas. She was born on March 31, 1934 to Leslie and Gladys Parker and was the youngest of three children.  Doris enjoyed being a homemaker, surrounding herself  with her family. She had two Shih Tzu's  that she doted over. Doris liked being crafty and creative. She enjoyed crocheting and tending to her vegatable garden. She loved visits with her brother and going to Chuckchansi with him.

Doris is survived by her children, Steve Sullenger, Deanna Ruegg, Laurie Grive; her brother, Bill Parker; 7 grandchildren and "Koko" her favorite pet companion.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Quisenberry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 1-9pm at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd Salinas, CA  93905.
