Obituary of Laureen Goodenow

Laureen “Laurie” C. Goodenow was born on August 19, 1956, in Seattle Washington. She grew up in a military household. She spent some of her childhood in St. Louis Missouri then moved to Brunswick, Maine. Eventually moving to California where she had lived the last 30 years. She leaves to mourn, her mother Andrea Clavin (Brunswick, Maine). Two sisters and two brothers, Brenda Clavin (Brunswick,Maine), Melony Clavin (Keansburg, New Jersey), Heath Clavin of (Brunswick, Maine). She leaves five children, James Goodenow, Jessie Goodenow, Jermaine Johnson, Shawniece Johnson, and Amber Johnson. She had 24 grandchildren and two more on the way. She had several nieces and nephews, cousins, family, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Terry Clavin, of (Jacksonhole Wyoming) and her father Ray Clavin of (Brunswick Maine).

She was soon going to retire from the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, where she had been teaching as a Special Education teacher for the last 13 years. She also retired from the Monterey Fairgrounds, where she was a chef for over 10 years. She worked for Dennys and Golden West Corporations. Laurie was multi-talented. She loved her family with all her heart and was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Wife, and everyone’s best friend. She had a heart of gold with a great personality, and a love you’ll never forget. She loved everybody! (Especially John "JJ" Johnson).
