Obituary of Efrain Pio Oros

Efrain Pio Oros “Cain”, 60, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico.  Born July 25, 1959 in Opopeo, Michoacán, Mexico.

Efrain lived in Salinas for the past 40 years. In his early years he worked as a field worker in the lettuce fields, truck driver, foreman and the past 15 years worked as a supervisor for Southwest Harvesting Inc. He loved his job and gave it his 100%.

Efrain enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved to spoil us all with his “carne asada”. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. His smile and sense of humor lightened up any place and person he encountered. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Efrain is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maria Guadalupe Oros De Pio, his daughters, Alma R. Pio-Garcia, Marisol Pio Pamatz and Maria G. Pio-Oros, his sons, Efrain Oros Pio Jr and Edgar Pio-Oros. He also leaves behind his 13 beloved grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 1 - 9 PM. Rosary at 6:00 PM.

The Funeral Mass will be held, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at St. Mary’s Church at 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St, Salinas.
