Obituary of Stella Garcia Flores

Stella Flores born in Holtville, CA loved spending time with family and friends. Stella was often known to open her doors to everyone and enjoyed cooking and baking. She celebrated one last birthday before unexpectedly passing away Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Lemoore, CA at the age of 67.

While living in Salinas for over 20 years she worked as an Administrative Assistant with Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) and retired. She was involved with the community and spent time with her friends and family whenever possible. Stella often traveled to the Imperial Valley to visit her siblings and their families. It was common for her to make regular phone calls to keep in touch with all of them. She adored her grandkids and always looked forward to spending time with them, whether it be traveling to Oregon to be with Vincent and Ezekiel or having Cody and Tyler come over to spend weekends in grandmas pool.  Her granddaughter Mia was her partner in crime and her number one food critic. She was happy to get word from her grandson Jared, who is actively stationed in Japan for the Navy. She attended many school and sporting events for her grandkids and was their biggest supporter. Grandma loved to feed her grandkids and baking them cookies. Those times will surely be missed.

Stella is the daughter of Consuelo García and Ignacio Flores. Sister to Antonina (Tonia) Gutierrez, Jennie Gutierrez, Rosita Daniel, Connie Flores, Ignacio Flores Jr. (Nacho), Paul Flores, Irene Flores Minor. Aunt to several nephews and nieces.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by her Husband, Julio García. Son, Anthony Aragón (Brennan), grandkids Vincent and Ezekiel. Daughter, Lidia Victoriano (Bong), grandkids Jared, Mía, Cody and Tyler.

We have lost a great person. Devoted wife, loving and supportive sister, mother and grandmother. We will miss her joyous laugh, her big heart and her loving presence. We will not shed tears for her loss, but remember all the wonderful memories she has blessed us with. We love you. And we will think of you often.

Visitation will be held at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas, Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

Following the Visitation, a cremation will be held under the direction of the Healey Mortuary.
