Obituary of Aileen Jane Alegre Pioquinto

Aileen Jane Alegre Pioquinto passed away on February 16, 2021.  She was 41 years old.  Aileen was born on February 15, 1980 in the Philippines to Valentin and Revelyn Pioquinto.  She was raised in Castroville, CA.  Aileen attended UC Santa Cruz where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in English Literature.  She later attended National University where she received her Masters of Art in English.  Aileen worked as a substitute teacher for the past 9 years. 

Aileen loved poetry and writing and she liked to knit.  She appreciated live music and enjoyed sports, hiking, and spending time at the beach.  Aileen was a member of Salinas Valley Community church and Bayside Church. 

Aileen is survived by her parents, Valentin Pioquinto and Revelyn Pioquinto; her siblings, Vanessa Barker and Ryan Pioquinto; and 2 nephews.

A visitation and service will take place for Aileen on Saturday, February 27, 2021 beginning at 1pm at Healey Mortuary.
