Obituary of Mario Saldivar

Mario Saldivar passed away on March 5, 2021 at the age of 51.  He was born on April 12, 1969. 

Mario had kidney dialysis 3 days a week for over 10 years, but managed to keep fighting and stay strong.  Something his family is very proud of. 

Mario was well known for being kind hearted and very talented.  He made crosses out of shoelaces, boxes, flowers out of tissues, and handmade picture frames.  His creativity was only matched by his thoughtfulness.  Mario would gift his handmade creations to his family, friends, and others at his dialysis clinic. He was an avid 49ers fan and loved the red and gold.  One of Mario’s best friends was his dog, princess Dora, whom he loved spending time with.  Mario was also a family man and loved making memories with his five kids and wonderful wife.   

Mario was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean Labato.  He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Ruby Saldivar; his children, Depeche Burns, Demechre Burns, Geronimo Estrada Saldivar, Mario Saldivar Jr, and Anissa Saldivar.  He is also survived by his father, Joseph Saldivar; 11 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.  Mario will be remembered as a great man, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend by all who knew him. 

A Funeral Mass will be held for Mario on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Madonna Del Sasso Church beginning at 1pm.
