Rosanna Halcon

Obituary of Rosanna F. Halcon

Rosanna Halcon, 61, of Salinas passed away on March 10, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Tijuana, Mexico and lived in Salinas for 54 years. She served many years working for packing sheds, caretaking for the elderly, housekeeping, and was a mother figure to many kids in the Salinas Liberty Bells.

She is survived by her loving husband, Geronimo Halcon, daughters Michelle Verdin, Elisabeth Lopez, Vanessa Lopez, son Daniel Ruiz, stepson Anthony Halcon, stepdaughter Marisela Paredes, and 9 grandchildren.

Rosanna loved spending time with her family, and cherished every moment with her grandkids. She enjoyed sharing stories of her youth, taking long drives, listening to oldies music, telling jokes, making jewelry , and cooking. Dancing and singing made her smile, and she did so every chance she could. She was charismatic and passed no judgment on others. Her heart was made of gold and everyone had a special place in it. She was a beautiful soul who will be truly missed and will forever remain in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

Limited visitation will be held on Monday, March 22nd, 2021 from 1-5 pm at Healey Mortuary.

The Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at St. Mary’s Church.

Burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
