Alicia Armenta

Obituary of Alicia Maria Armenta

Ms. Alicia Maria Armenta gained her wings and is now resting eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She graced us with her presence for fifty years and was born on February 14, 1971.  Alicia passed away suddenly surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness on September 20, 2021 in San Jose, California.

Alicia was born on a U.S. Army Base in Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam to her parents Banh Thi Ngo and Sgt. Guadalupe A. Armenta while her father proudly served his country for twenty-five years. As an infant in the year of 1971, Alicia arrived in the United States with both her parents when her father was transferred to Fort Ord, U.S. Army Base in Monterey, California.  There she was able to join her paternal late grandmother Ramona Legg Armenta and the extended Armenta family in Salinas, California.

Anyone who met or knew Alicia always felt her gentle spirit. It was illuminated by her soft voice, beautiful brown eyes, and a warm smile which projected her kind heart to everyone. Alicia’s legacy will always be remembered through the light of her life from her two sons, Christopher and Alan. Alicia was so profoundly proud of both her sons and their many accomplishments. It gave her great joy and peace of mind to see that they both carry out her spirit and will continue to do so going forward in their lives.  She had the most beautiful voice, because she loved music and singing. She also loved to shop and decorate her home.

As the eldest of four children, Alicia's generosity was selfless, sharing whatever she had to help others in a simple and humble manner.  As a young child, Alicia and her three siblings were blessed to have lived and traveled throughout their childhood through the various U.S. Army Base's while their father was stationed in Germany, Texas and Monterey, California.

Even so with the ebbs and flow of life, she never lost sight of her love for her family. Our beautiful Alicia was loved, and will always be remembered by her graceful kin spirit.

Ms. Alicia Maria Armenta is preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe A. Armenta, and her niece Victoria Raub Armenta. Ms. Armenta is survived by her adoring mother Banh Thi Ngo Armenta, her two sons, Christopher Armenta (Alondra) and Alan Armenta; her former husband Kinh Nguyen, grandson Isaac Armenta; brother Vincent A. Armenta; and sisters Michelle Armenta-Banuelos (Brandon), and Monica C. Armenta; her niece's Jade Armenta Rodriquez, Isabella Armenta, Kora Armenta, and Victoria E. Armenta; her longtime partner Richard Martinez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
