Obituary of Claudia F. Ventura

Claudia F. Ventura, 72, passed away on April 19, 2022. She was born to Daniel and Josephine Ferolino in Siquijor, Philippines.

 

Claudia is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Ventura, who lovingly called her Ding; she is survived by her loving daughter Kimberly and son in law Timothy.

 

Claudia immigrated to America in 1981 and worked alongside with her husband at Oreggia Farms in Gonzales for 17 years. After Louie’s passing, she then started a new career as a CNA. She thrived during her CNA training, supporting her fellow classmates around her. Caregiving was in her nature and it showed in her love for her family and friends. Claudia loved spending time with her family and cooked for them whenever she could. She insisted that restaurants used too much salt and that she could do it better. And she did. 

 

She was one of 13 siblings and was always willing to help as new nieces and nephews and grandchildren came into the world. Family time was very important to her and she filled her days keeping up with what was happening with her sisters and sister-in-laws over the phone and took every opportunity to be present at family gatherings. Her loud laugh was adornment at these parties and we will miss it dearly.

 

Claudia adored her daughter, Kimberly. She was tenacious in her support of Kim and was so incredibly proud to be her mother. She loved her Kimmy so much.

 

Visitation will be held at Healey Mortuary on May 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a rosary starting at 4 p.m. 

 

We will continue to celebrate Claudia’s life on May 2, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial to follow immediately at Garden of Memories.
