Obituary of Evilen Bidawid

Evilen “NuNu” Bidawid passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022, the day of her 45th wedding anniversary. She was a caring and dedicated wife, aunt, in-law, friend and colleague. She was well regarded for her devotion, her loyalty, her generosity, her love of travel, her talents as a homemaker and a woman genuinely dedicated to serving others.

A proud immigrant, Evilen was born in Kirkuk, Iraq in 1950 who later moved to Baghdad for higher education. In 1977, after marrying the love of her life, Janan, she moved to Dubai for career purposes. She immigrated to the United States in 1991 where she settled in Monterey, CA and where she dedicated 29 years to the Defense Language Institute as an Associate Professor.

A funeral service is scheduled for Evilen on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey, CA. Evilen is survived by her husband, Janan Bidawid.
