Obituary of Joyce Ann Lewis

Joyce Lewis, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 1st at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 30, 1941, in Ada, Oklahoma, Joyce lived a fulfilling life filled with adventure and cherished moments.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and wanderlust. She is survived by her children, Loren (Killy), Brian, and Lorrie (Bill), her grandchildren Susan, Robin (John), Kira, and Danielle “Junior” (Kat), her great grandchildren Wyatte, Thomas, and Shepherd, and her favorite niece Kat (Bill). 

Joyce's spirit of exploration took her to many remarkable destinations around the world. She marveled at the pyramids in Egypt, experienced the grandeur of Vatican City in Italy, and walked along the historic Great Wall of China.

Her wanderlust didn't stop with her. Joyce instilled her love of travel in her children and grandchildren, fostering a shared appreciation for the world's diverse cultures and wonders. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Joyce found great joy in simple pleasures as well. She cherished her time spent with "The Ladies" over lunches, sharing laughter and stories. Watching her great-grandchildren play in her yard brought her immense delight, and she opened her home to anyone, welcoming them with open arms and treating them as family.

To honor Joyce's life, a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8th, at 2 pm at Healey's Mortuary, where friends and family will gather to pay their respects. In order to honor and celebrate Joyce’s colorful life, we kindly ask that you consider wearing bright and cheerful attire to the funeral service.

Additionally, a celebration of her remarkable life will take place on Saturday, June 10th, at 2 pm at her cherished home. This gathering will serve as a testament to the love, warmth, and inclusiveness that Joyce radiated throughout her life.

Joyce Lewis will be remembered not only for her love of travel but also for her unwavering love for her family and her ability to make everyone feel like they belonged. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
