Obituary of Rita Dominy

Rita Dominy, after a lengthy illness was released from this life July 12, 2023 to join her husband James T. Dominy and son Donald D. Dominy. 

She leaves her grieving family after living almost 96 years of a full life as the last surviving child of 10 siblings and the mother of three, Thomas Dominy, his spouse Marie and Catherine Kennedy and her spouse Gary, as well as seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. 

Rita was a retired California State employee with the Employment Development Department and served over 40 years with the Daughters of the Golden West who once served as President and other posts. 

She will be dearly remembered by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends with whom she showed her love with generosity and humor. 
A wake will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from1 to 5 p.m. at the Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd., Salinas.

Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salinas.

She will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, CA
