Obituary of Hilario "Larry" Mendoza Jr.

Larry Mendoza, Jr., 76, of Salinas California passed away on July 12, 2023 after a short illness.  He was born on April 18, 1947 to Hilario, Sr. and Maria Valentina Mendoza in Salinas California.  Larry attended Alisal elementary, El Sausal Jr Hi, and Salinas high school.

Larry was proud to have served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969, in Vietnam.

He is survive by two step children: Nazareth, and David Watson.  Larry is also survived by his sister, Esther Jimenez, Ferman Mendoza, Juan Mendoza and Teresa Mendoza.  > He was a beloved stepfather, brother son, uncle, cousin, but most of all a great friend to many. He leaves numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Emma Mendoza, his parents Hilario Sr and Maria Valentina Mendoza, his brothers, Ramon, and Jesus Mendoza. 

 A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Salinas at 1:15 PM.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery, 2900 Parker Flats Rd. in Seaside, CA at 3:30 PM.
