Norma Pruitt passed from this life at her home on October 10, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born to Tyson and Maryetta Long on March 14, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Norma was married to Wayne Pruitt for 25 years. They had no children. Norma was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Wayne Pruitt, her parents and all of her siblings: Tyson Long, Dorothy Price and Rita Feavel. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma ‘s first job after High School was with Pacific Bell (AT&T). She worked as an operator and supervisor in Southern California and retired after several years. After moving to Monterey County, she worked for Debbie Moore Real Estate in Salinas, as a bookkeeper for 15 years. She was an avid reader until she developed macular degeneration. She loved cats…every one she had she named Meow. She was a dedicated Curves member for over 20 years, and worked out even into her 90’s. She enjoyed the monthly lunches with her Curves friends and celebrating birthdays and holidays with them.

Norma amazed everyone with her brilliant mind. She could remember dates and events from years ago that were slight memories for the rest of us. Her smile, laugh, quick witt and sense of humor could brighten a room.
