Obituary of Doris E. Bruce

Doris E. Bruce, 86, of Salinas, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was born August 19, 1937 in Eudora, Arkansas to Thomas and Katie Alexander.

Doris moved to Salinas at the age of 7 and graduated from Salinas High School. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, loved watching the Little League World Series, PBR Bull Riding, and Supercross rider Eli Tomac. Doris was employed by The Salinas Board of Realtors for over 25 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband Malcolm E. Bruce, her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son Steve Bruce (wife Joyce), daughter Sandy Wilson (husband Ben). Her grandchildren; Scott Baran (wife Gladys), Danielle Burton (husband Mike), Cody Wilson, Amanda Hernandez (husband Fernando), and Kevin Bruce. Her great-grandchildren; Bella, Farrah & Jack Burton, Avery & Ezekiel Hernandez. Special nephew Dennis Hill (wife Pam), and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Doris' request there will be no services. Donations can be made in her honor to the Hospice Foundation of America.
