Linda was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin February 26, 1953 to Joseph and Rosemary Lengyel. She was the oldest of 5 children and played the big sister role well. When she turned 18 and after graduating from high school, she ran straight to enlist in the U.S. Army June 1971. At just 18 years of age, she was strong willed about serving her country. She went on to serve a full 20 years before retiring as Staff Sergeant in June 1991 at Fort Ord Military base in California. In those 20 years, she found interest in the medical field, becoming an operating room technician. She was stationed in various bases alone until she found the love of her life, her husband, Jesse. They got married March 10, 1982 and were stationed at many bases together. Linda even served in the Gulf War. In May 1984, Linda and Jesse had their first child, their son Jason. In January 1989, they had their second child Nicole and their third and final child in March 1990, Angelique. They lived in Marina, CA until 1997, when they bought a bigger home in Salinas, CA, where Linda spent the remainder of her years. While here, she met some amazing friends who became family. Linda was an amazing wife, mother, friend, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed but her presence lives on forever.

Linda is survived by her husband Jesse, her son Jason, her oldest daughter Nicole and her youngest daughter Angelique, her grandsons Devin and Hayden and granddaughter Audrey, a sister Sue and niece Amy, her brother Mike and nieces Casey and Jamie; and her brother Jim and niece Morgan.
