Obituary of Jeanette R. Martinez

Jeanette R Martinez passed away on Nov 5th, 2023 at her home in Salinas, CA.

Jeanette was born and raised in Salinas and started working at a young age in retail. She excelled into Supervisory roles for Toys R Us & Home Depot given her talented merchandising skills, plus  organizational talents. She loved cooking and baking plus altering recipes. 

Jeanette was also a very talented decorator and loved Christmas time & gift giving. While working at Home Depot she would annually volunteer to help families in need with gifts and donations. 

She had an excellent memory with movies,  tv shows , cousins birthdays and very organized in regards to commitments.  She was an avid fan of shows like King of Queens and Everyone Loves Raymond. 

Jeanette met her husband Oscar F Lopez of 20+ years while working at Toys R Us. They married in Aug 1998 at Walt Disney World with a Fairy Tale Wedding Ceremony. 

Jeanette got diabetes and later end stage renal condition. She battled her condition for over 18 years through various surgeries and diet restrictions. She was always  positive and believed in God to comfort her and give her hope. She never wavered and kept her faith. 

Jeanette loved babies. She loved holding them and making them laugh & smile. She adored her cousins during their young stages. 

She will be remembered for her loving heart for people, cousins and pets. 

She had 7 pets at one time to care for and they brought her joy. 

Jeanettes light and love will be dearly missed. 

She is survived by her loving husband Oscar F Lopez , Mother Anna M Martinez and Aunt Hilda Stevens.
