Rosa “Sita” Dolores Duque Garcia, June 5, 1982--December 9, 2023, Salinas, CA.

Heaven has called our dear Sita home, leaving behind a legacy that sparkles with the warmth of her love and radiance of her spirit. A lover of entertainment and experiences, Sita relished in unique dishes to the whimsical world of Hello Kitty and found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Behind her quiet demeanor was an adventurous spirit, a thrill-seeker who fearlessly conquered the tallest rides. With a voracious appetite for knowledge, Sita was an avid reader and a proud graduate of CSUMB; leading to her true calling manifested in the noble pursuit of serving youth teaching middle and high schoolers. Amidst her bubbly exterior, Sita faced life's curveballs with a cheerful spunk that inspired all who knew her. A courageous cancer survivor, she faced adversity with unwavering strength and resilience. As she enters heaven's embrace, she reunites with her beloved puppy, little Oren, and finds eternal peace.

Sita is survived by her husband, Adam Bonsey of 11 years; Father and Mother, Roy and Ruby Garcia; Sister and Brother-in-law Rita and Sean Gunderson; Niece and Nephew, Madilyn and Maverick Gunderson.
