Obituary of Johnnie Madriaga Jr.

Johnnie Madriaga Jr. passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 70.  He was born on June 23, 1953 in Salinas, Ca to Apolonio Madriaga and Maggie Garcia.  Johnnie has lived in Castroville, Marina, and Salinas and he worked as a Painting Contractor for 50 years.  He loved music and danciing.  He enjoyed watching any sport and was a great cook.  He also loved to travel and spend time with family.  

Johnnie was survived by his partner, Maria Celaya, his daughters, Michelle and Alyssa Madriaga; son, Johnnie Madriaga; step-sons, Ricardo and Moses; his sisters and brothers, Annie, Linda, Annette, Mike, Anthony, and David; as well as numerous cousins.  He is also survived by his 5 granchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place for Johnnie on Wednesday, February 21st from 1-6pm with a Rosary at 5pm.  His Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 22nd at 12pm at Compass Church, 830 Padre Dr #2423 in Salinas, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
